👉 What happened: AirRobe’s wants to take out out most of the work involved in selling clothes second hand. Now, AirRobe has launched a new program, to partner with 10 Aussie retailers. Think: PE Nation and Viktoria & Woods.
👉 What else: For example. customers can link their purchases on The Iconic to AirRobe's marketplace, including purchase details, images and product descriptions. Customers can use past purchases to sell and rent out their clothes. And this goes a long way towards AirRobe’s mission of achieving a circular economy.
💡The circular economy is a model of reusing products rather than scrapping them and creating from a new product from scratch. And it’s becoming a popular model in the retail space where wastage is huge.
💡The resale market in fashion and luxury is currently worth $100-$120 billion and it’s expected to grow by 127% by 2026! But one of the issues with the circular economy model is that it’s pretty inconvenient: Ya gotta find nice lighting, take pictures, write out descriptions and then upload.
💡But now, we’re starting to see more and more businesses and consumers embrace the resale model and put sustainable fashion high on their priority list.
