👉 What happened: Now the whole fam’s launching D’Amelio Brands, a 100% family owned business creating beauty, fashion AND lifestyle products.
👉 What else: Because really, why would you wanna sponsor someone else’s products when ya could just make your own?
💡In the old world, you’d have large companies responsible for creating a brand, fronting up the capital, and then using influencers to distribute the product. But influencers are now moving up the value chain to create their own products from scratch.
💡But creating your own brand takes a whole heap of capital! Luckily, the D’Amelio’s have already formed their own $25 million venture fund called 444 Capital.
💡So forget Ryan Reynolds with his Aviation Gin and Rihanna with her Savage x Fenty lingerie, the next generation of celebrities owning their own brands might just come from TikTok.
