The collection has been specifically designed with women in mind... so yeah the girls.
Background: Since launching back in 1998, Lululemon has made a name for itself in the athleisure world. It gives ya that fresh-out-the-gym look, without even stepping foot in one.
What happened: In 2020, sales topped US$4.4 billion. And its 2021 sales hit US$6.25 billion. Lulu can't stop, won't stop.
What else: Now, Lulu is rolling out its first footwear collection, starting off with a sneaker. And they've made one thing clear: this collection was designed specifically for women.
💡 Historically, many products have been manufactured with men at the centre.
💡Ya see, shoes are no different. They are normally constructed around foot-shaped moulds based off a man’s foot to make all their shoes — including women’s.
💡But Lululemon is intentionally putting women at the centre of the sneaker design. Given the sneaker industry is worth around US$70 billion, this gap has created a great opportunity for Lulu to swoop in... and hit the sweet spot.
