👉 Background: ARN Media is the company behind radio stations like KIIS FM and the iHeart Radio brand in Australia. A few weeks ago, a potential mergerbetween ARN Media and Southern Cross Austereo, the owner of Triple M, was on the cards.
👉 What happened: But Seven West Media didn't read the playbook. Over the weekend, Seven acquired a 19.9% stake in ARN Media. So now, Seven owns 19.9% and News Corp owns 13% of ARN Media.
👉 What else: And with Southern Cross Austereo wanting a slice of the pie too, it might become hard for anyone to get the outcome they're looking for.
💡In the business world, having multiple powerful companies as stakeholders can be a double-edged sword.
